A Tale of Two Lakes
![]() Lynn and I went to Singapore Botanical Gardens with a few colleagues and their kids for a picnic on Mayday (1 May), which is a public holiday in Singapore.
Why a tale of two lakes? The gardens has 3 lakes, Symphony Lake, Swan Lake and Eco Lake of which we only visited Symphony and Swan Lake. | More Photos | Permalink Sunday, 30 April 2006 | 11pm

The Answer
Be not afraid
Be not afraid of the spooks, of the ones that would have your hearts burn with hatred. Be not afraid of the ghosts who would have you build your own prison walls with evermore pace and frenzy. Be Still And love shall uncloak the thieves that have stolen our innocence. - by Peter J Charlton | Video | Permalink Saturday, 25 February 2006 | 7pm

![]() A big THANK YOU to all my friends and everyone who has been dropping by my Flickr album and leaving me encouraging comments. I really appreciate it.
I started using Flickr in March 2005 to share my photos with my friends and colleagues. Little did I know it would garner 10,000 views in less than a year. Thank you once again for all the support. I will definitely be updating the album with more photos. | 10,000 views | Permalink Saturday, 18 February 2006 | 3pm
There is No Free Lunch
![]() Dead Meat is a 25 minute short film which shows the reality of health care under Canada's socialized medical system: Canadians wait ... and wait ... and wait. ... And sometimes they die while waiting for free government health care.
The filmmakers are currently in production on a feature-length film addressing health care in the U.S. and Canada slated for release in late 2006. As an interim offering, they have produced this short film which debuted at the Liberty Film Festival in West Hollywood, CA on Oct 21, 2005. | Link | Permalink Tuesday, 14 February 2006 | 11pm
A Wedding on Valentine's
![]() Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I love being invited to weddings because it means that the person who invited you remembers you as a friend. And I not not talking about those sit-down dinners where you might be invited to make-up the numbers, hic. But a small gathering of "close friends and relatives". Although I am not that close to Patricia, we shared many happy moments gossiping. Hee.
So Lynn and I and a few colleagues were at Patricia and Alan's solemnisation at Goodwood Park Hotel. When I got the invitation, I was elated. Hey, it was Valentine's Day leh, and I don't have to rack my brains thinking of where to go and what to do on a Valentine's Day night. Potent combination, thanks Patricia! Patricia was of course a colleague from my work-place and Alan I had met twice before, once at our staff outing to the HSBC Tree-Top Walk and the other time at a Beyond Concert. I've learned that Alan is a drummer of his band and they mostly play Beyond songs. | More Photos | Permalink Thu, 9 February 2006 | 11pm
Run Chin, Run
![]() We had a College Road Run yesterday at East Coast Park. The staff and students were divided into 5 houses differentiated by colours. I am in the orange house.
As usual, instead of running, I was busy taking photos. I even walked halfway to the turning point before the start of the staff race to secure a good spot to take photos of my colleagues as they run past me. The photos were taken using my newly bought Nikon D50 and I must say I am pretty satisfied with the camera while at the same time providing my colleagues with some comic relief through these photos. | More Photos | Permalink Wed, 1 February 2006 | 11pm
I Have Never Played With a Potato Head
![]() A few ex-TPJC students came to my place for breakfast. We played the "I never" and "Dress-up Potato Head" game.
Chien Ming said I might be the only non-teacher that has students as guests during a Lunar New Year gathering. Why do I only asked Chien Ming to come over? This is because all the students are related to her in one way or another and I definitely need a teacher to help me keep the students in order. Hee :) | More Photos | Permalink Mon, 23 January 2006 | 10pm
Love-Letters
![]() Mom, Lynn and I were making love-letters over the weekend. We love making these love-letters but I guess this is going to be the last year because I complaint too much. To make enough for ourselves take but an afternoon but mom and Lynn insist we make much more so that they can be given away FREE! So for those who have tasted these lovely love-letters, savour them while you can.

As usual took quite a bit of photos and mom noted that I spent more time taking photos than eating! I much prefer the selection of food here while dad prefered Melt at The Oriental, Singapore. | More Photos | Permalink Tue, 9 January 2006 | 8pm
